Governor Ron DeSantis announced on Friday, May 1st the reopening of 80 Florida State Parks. These parks were added to the list of businesses and parks allowed to reopen during the states Phase 1 reopening plan.

Not all Florida State Parks will be reopening. In Central Florida, most Florida State Parks will not reopen, including Wekiva Springs State Park, Blue Springs State Park, and DeLeon Springs State Park.

Each park has a limited re-opening and not amenities will be available at open. Check out the links below to each park to find out what will be open and what will not.

“I applaud the Re-Open Florida Task Force on their hard work to inform a safe, smart and step-by-step approach to re-opening Florida. Recreational activity provides important physical and mental health benefits, particularly during these uncertain times. This Phase One plan will allow for the thoughtful, measured re-opening of some of our state’s incredible natural resources for public recreation.”

The Governor’s order only applies to State Parks. This order does not apply to private, county, or municipal parks. These parks will open at the discretion of local authorities.

Park visitors must comply with social distancing requirements and approved activities will be enforced. Failure to comply with proper social distancing or approved activities may result in law enforcement action or park closure.
