Catch some Live Music

One of the amazing things about visiting Disney Springs is entertainment on almost every corner. There are 5 stages/areas that Disney regularly schedules live music in the evenings. These usually begin around 7 pm. The stages are located by the Food Trucks in Westside, outside Starbucks in Westside, in front of Terralina in The Landing, outside World of Disney in the Marketplace and next door to The Boathouse in The Landing.

You can also catch music inside and outside Raglan Road, inside The Edison, Outside Raglan Road, outside by Dockside Margaritas, outside House of Blues at The Front Porch and outside by Paradiso 37. You can grab a drink (or not) and music hop your way through Disney Springs in the evenings.

Live music is one of our favorite free things to do at Disney Springs. In addition to the live music at Disney Springs, we often will catch a boat over to Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter to catch some amazing jazz music in the Scats Cats Club. With so many options, this is the perfect free or low-cost date night.

LEGO Store Raceway

Outside the back of the LEGO store is a place to build and race a LEGO car. Let the kids run and get their energy out before dinner or after dinner. The area is open all day so stop by when it fits into your schedule. There is no cost to let the kids build and play, only catch is the LEGOs stay there. It is a really good time killer for the kids.

Ghiradelli Chocolate Sample

Most days, while the store is open, Ghiradelli hands out free chocolate squares to guests. Look for an employee with a basket in their hands and they will hand you the “sample” on your way into the shop. Usually, it is a milk chocolate caramel square, but sometimes it does change. I have gotten pumpkin spice, peppermint bark, and even dark chocolate in different seasons in the past. If you or your family have any chocolate fans this is a sure way to please them with no costs.

Basin Scrub Station

Basin is a bath products store located next to World of Disney and Arribas Bros. Inside the middle of the store is a scrub station where you can try their products. The salt scrubs will leave your hands so soft and clean. This is a great stop after enjoying that chocolate square to clean off a bit and it is just behind Ghiradelli too.

Take a Boat Ride

Disney Springs offers boat transportation to the different areas via the Sassagoula Boat Company. This transportation also goes to several resorts including Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, Old Key West and Saratoga Springs. All you have to do is go to one of the boat ramps and hop on (Each ramp goes to a specific hotel so watch the signs), but it expands the fun and most resorts have amazing food and entertainment options open to the public.

While there are many free things to do at Disney Springs, hopping a boat over to one of the resorts to walk around or to hang out in one of the live music lounges can really add to your free entertainment night.

Splash Pad (Open Seasonally)

The large splash pad (next to Once Upon a Toy) is usually open during the day and at night there is a DJ located there hosting a super kid-friendly dance party. This is a great stop to help the littles burn their energy off, but prepare to get soaked. A second smaller splash pad is also in the Marketplace next to the Christmas store. Check them both out, but know they are only open based on the season.

Artists Working at Art of Disney

At The Art Corner, you can watch artists paint, draw caricatures, dip silk and so much more. Feel free to watch or even purchase a custom piece of art. It is always fun watching artists work and this is something you don’t always get to see. This exhibit is always changing so stop by and see the amazing handcrafting going on.

Unique Performers

At night there is a variety of performances going on in addition to the live music mentioned at the beginning of this article. There are living statues throughout Disney Springs that you can take pictures with. Stilt walkers roam the grounds in the evenings too. We have even seen roaming pianos, magicians and acrobats. Really, you never know what you might see walking around in the evenings and it is always a good time.

Search for Hidden Mickeys

Almost every location at Disney Springs has at least one of these amazing little hidden gems. Make it a game, make bingo cards, have fun with it, and see what you find. A couple to get you started. There is one in the tunnel at Enzo’s hideaway. Another one in the seating area of Maria and Enzo’s. And another inside the china cabinet at D-Luxe Burger. Those should get your hunt started!

Watch Glass Artist at Arribas Brothers

Arribas Bros is a working glass shop where they are daily crafting new pieces of art from hand-spun and blown glass. Stop by and see the glass cutters and blowers at work. It is always fun and mesmerizing to just sit and watch the shapes take form while they work the glass by hand. You can then see all the items for sale and take in the amazing artistry that is glasswork.
