SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival

Every year from about February to May Sea World puts on their big food festival. There are food booths featuring different cuisines, local breweries, and specialty cocktails. The weekends include an amazing concert lineup that is sure to please with rock, country and even blues artists.

One unique thing about this food festival is the sampling lanyard. This lanyard allows you to get a specific number of food and beverage items from the food booths for a set price. There is no additional entrance fee aside from general park admission so enjoy the park, food, drinks, and fun every Spring.

Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival

Flower and Garden is such a fun festival at Epcot that runs from March to June. There are topiaries throughout the park that are handcrafted. There are special tours offered only during this festival. The food booths are so fresh and natural, and the concerts are great! There is even a ton for the kids to do with scavenger hunts and a butterfly house.

This event features the Garden Rocks Concert Series which is 7 nights a week of performances featuring bands like Sister Hazel, Casting Crowns, Daughtry, Crowder, and Air Supply. There are even dining packages available to get you up close to the center in front of the theatre.

Universal Studios Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras runs from February to April every year at Universal Studios Orlando. There is a huge parade every night where beads are thrown and the music is amazing. Every year the parade has a different theme so no two years are exactly the same. There are even add-ons available like a Crawfish Boil or Desert party. There is even a virtual queue to ride on a float yourself.

The entire evening is included in general admission or with an annual pass. The music is amazing to featuring artists like TLC, The All-American Rejects, Chris Young, Earth Wind & Fire, and even Marshmello.

There are also cajun food booths and a tasting lanyard available for purchase, along with event-specific merchandise. This is one event you don’t want to miss.

See the Manatees at Blue Springs State Park

The Manatees are an amazing creature that migrates every year and settles around various waterways in Florida. From mid-November to late March you can catch these “sea cows” at Blue Springs state park. Back in the 1970s, you would find around 35 of them, but today reports are showing over 500 manatees settles at the state park every season.

If you are into Wildlife and just enjoying nature this is a must-do Spring activity for your family. Remember to head out early as the park often reaches capacity during this season. You can also call the park directly for a current Manatee count before making the journey.

Dive Back into the Water at a Water Park

Central Florida is known for its water parks. We have Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Volcano Bay, Aquatica, Adventure Island, and even H2O Live. If you are looking for a fun time in the water on a warmer day we have plenty to do. The great thing about the water parks is there are plenty of amenities. Cabanas are a great way to get some shade, grab some food, and relax in between slides.

Meet an Astronaut at Kennedy Space Center

Kennedy Space Center has an amazing program in the spring where you can meet an Astronaut. This program is an educational program that allows you to learn the journey different astronauts have gone through to get to space. If you are into history, science, educational topics or have kids and want a fun but educational trip, this is one for the books.

Go on Safari at Wild Florida

Wild Florida has a few interesting offerings on property. They are home to a Gator Park that allows you to see the gators up close and personal. There are a bunch of animal encounters to choose from including a sloth which seems like an awesome way to spend the day. The Drive-Thru Safari allows you to drive through 85 acres of natural habitat to over 100 species of animals. If all of this isn’t enough adventure for the day they also offer airboat rides to get into nature and see Florida up close.

Busch Garden’s Food & Wine Festival

This food and wine festival runs from the end of February until the end of April which gives you plenty of time to head to Busch Gardens and enjoy it. They have food cabins offering a wide variety of both savory and sweet items. The Sampler lanyards are a great way to not miss a beat and to try a little of everything. The concerts and entertainment include artists such as The Commodores, Three Dog Night, Home Free, Third Eye Blind, and Clint Black. Admission is included with your general park ticket and upgrades are available for even better concert seating.

Legoland Piratefest Weekends

Select weekends in April and May head on out to Legoland to get your pirate on. There will be a ton of pirate and parrot friendly activities throughout the park, water park, and resort. From character meet and greets to completing your pirate passport there is something for all pirate and lego loving individuals.

Check Out Gators in Their Natural Habitat

Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive and Orlando Wetlands are two amazing places to check out these fantastic creatures in their natural habitat. Stay in your car and drive around Lake Apopka enjoying the gators and birds. If you have a bike or can rent one head over to Orlando Wetlands for a ride around to see the gators up close.

The spring is gator mating season which means they will be out and about much more than other times of the year. These large animals are great to watch them hunt, hear them grunt and see them glide through the water.
